Quantum Space

  REVERSE ENGINEERED OBJECT: SELECTION When I was selecting Engineered object, I tried to get the idea of machine, mechanism, and moving. Especially, I wanted to get moving part like gears so that it can be easily take apart and they can seen very well as "moving part" Coffee Grinder Electronic Alarm Clock Camera Microphone correction tape I am excited to design one of objects and put some colour that I want. Choosing objects was  interesting process and I noticed that looking  for a lot of engineered objects were a bit  difficult as well.

  Surface design With the design that I made, I noticed that black  and dark gray does not really having differences when laser cutting. However, my pattern worked quite nice and overall was great. When I work on patterns and laser cut, next time I had better choose different  black and white patterns if I wanna get nice distinct differences.

 SURFACE DESIGN STUDY: RESEARCH Simply, the patterns exist really close to individuals,  especially, in the houses. The patterns could be used to support objects to be looked more interesting and is used  almost everywhere. So, I was looking for patterns that is  surround me and could find variety of objects that has patterns. Patterns could be balanced or non balanced. Initially, when  I looked for patterns, I was only thinking of patterns like  check patterns, which has exact fit to each other. Then, I noticed there is actually not much balanced patterns than I imaged in real world.  And this allowed me to break my mind and try to create unique patterns. I found beauty in square and tried to make a pattern that is like snow. And patterns for me was balance so that I wanted to keep balance and find repetition. I kinda failed to fill colour inside, using Hatch, shapes but overall design of my work seemed nice. Fix a bit and try to put colours one by on...

 Project 1: Castle From the first project, I had to take out of my brain how  I did in OBDF 110. In fact, it was a bit difficult to remember  some of functions that I used and how I made 3-dimensional models.  As I kept experiencing and experiment, I could achieve how I made.  The first thing that I thought was how will I make the castle and where should I make them. Then I thought of a movie or books that gives the idea of castle. And this caused me to take a reference as Harry Potter Castle, Hogwarts. Taking reference as Hogwarts, but making a bit simple and  try to create a variety of textures, I had to use simple shapes, and find materials that best fits. Overall, I think I could not actually get some idea that I wanted to make. Although the result came out nicely, the effort that I put was really satisfied but the result was a bit disappointed.
